Landmarks
The first landmark flashed by us so fast that we almost failed to recognize it! It was our very rapid growth in membership!
Membership: We crossed the 500 member mark very fast and are poised to break the 2000-member barrier soon.
A 10th standard quiz master! Whilst we have two offline meets a month, on average, we have been quiz-mastered twice by budding quizzers in the 10th grade of school. Imagine a roomful of business professionals, software developers and other quizzers being quizzed by a 10th standard student and you get the picture. The student in question, Raghav, an award winning quizzer, held the audience enthralled in one of our recent offline meets.
Press reviews: We have received very positive press publicity in most of the South Indian newspapers such as The Hindu, Deccan Herald, LiveMint etc.
Innovative quizzing:
a) Yahoo Messenger Quiz: We have conducted quizzes via Yahoo Messenger (the quizmaster who handled it was Ganapathi Subbaiah, a 1st year B.Com student in Madikeri, Coorg)
b) Network Quizzing: we have pioneered the concept of network quizzing and have two network quizzes currently running (THE SEVENTH SENSE and THE SUPER SIXERS series)
c) Creation of a brand: We are the first quiz group in the country to have created several quizzing brands such as Don Quizzote, The Seventh Sense, The Super Sleuth Series, The Super Sixer Series etc. Many of these quizzes are the most innovative quizzes in India.
d) International Quizzing: We conducted an Inter-School quiz for the Indian schools in Kuwait in May 2006. This was organized by the Kuwait Kannada Koota.
e) Our 2005 New Year's Eve quiz followed by a log fire party, drinks and dinner was extremely well received and was a landmark event.
f) We did a full page quiz for Vijay Times which featured the events of 2006. You can see a PDF file of the quiz.
h) We are Quiz Club facilitators for Bethany School, Koramangala.
i) We did a 20 question quiz for a blog (for Churmuri.com) in December 2007.
