Feedback Received at the Bangalore Quiz Group | Bangalore's Six Sigma Quality Quiz Group

Have been a member of the Bangalore Quiz Group for a couple of years and have always enjoyed your world-class quizzing. Now, it has paid off too..... I work in National Public School, HSR and on Sep 1st I and another colleague represented our school in an inter-school quiz competition conducted for teachers of schools all over Bangalore. Mr Giri Balasubramaniam was the quizmaster. We finished as the runners-up!!

I won the TATA Crucible Bangalore Regional Round (TATA Track) held on Aug 31st, 2008 & qualified for the National Finals. This is the first time that a TATA Elxsi team is making it to the nationals...The Bangalore Quiz group has been of great help in this victory...

I have been a recent member and let me tell you, I enjoy being a part of the group, every bit of it. I look forward. to the Quizzes sent and as and when I get time, try to send replies to them. I share the quizzes with my wife and my 8 year old daughter, which I feel expands their horizon of knowledge. Working in a Bank can be mundane, sometimes, so Quizzing helps me revitalize myself. I had been an active quizzer till 7 years back, having won ET Brand Equity, Sportsworld Sports Quiz & North Star when I was a college student.

I am very glad to say that I've enjoyed every quiz posted, especially the quizzes relating to Technology and Business. Each quiz has helped me learn new things and I can proudly say that I won a couple of Tech quizzes and managed to reach the finals of many quizzes that were conducted in the college fests and the credit undoubtedly goes to BQG. I have just finished my engineering education (B.E.) and joining Infosys next month. So, I am confident that BQG quizzes would definitely help me in winning corporate quizzes also. More than winning it's the learning part that has been very satisfying. It has been a wonderful and memorable journey with BQG. Thank you and continue the good job.

It'll be just great if you could host the quiz at <my business school>. My association (albeit as a passive member of Bangalore Quiz Group) leads to conclusion is that the quizzes conducted by you are awesome. My personal view is that a quiz is a good/great quiz if the answers to the answered questions elicits a wow. Your quizzes falls in the category. I hope the core team at <my business school> opts for you.

First of all, I have to appreciate you for the awesome quizzes on your website. I have been quizzing for sometime. But, every time I start thinking of taking quizzing seriously, I get bored in a couple of days. I hate going through the long pages of Wikipedia. And then I try a few quiz blogs. Some are interesting, but again going through all those archives is a pain. I might sound too pessimistic, but I want to know what good quizzers like you do. I would like to know what you go through and how you keep the passion burning.

Any help would be deeply appreciated.

I read abut how you started BQG out of 'loneliness' and am a regular follower of it at the Yahoo Group, although, to be frank, I never replied to quizzes.

Well... I really like them, because its not standard" know the answer" quiz, but you've got to even think "what the hell do I enter in Google..." Also, often it is not evident what to do after getting the pix!

The only crib - I'm a scientist, and get to do stuff like check quiz mails only once a while, so I miss out on the Super Sleuth series because of the time limit for answers.

What I really like is that because of the random googling, one gets to read about stuff that one otherwise would never had heard about - like some vague car company that made the AK 47 in one of the earlier connects.

Bengaluru Quiz Group (thats how its should be called now , right) is really amazing. Never have seen such a repository of information so systematically coming to my mailbox. Wonderful job... Keep the mails coming.

I find your group’s questions very interesting as they usually pertain to a particular topic and you have quizzes covering practically every topic. The only downside (for me) is that I am a quiz reader rather than a quizzer! So, when I find an interesting set from your group, I have to reply to get the answers! In any case, your quizzes are much much better than the other mixed bags which we usually get .....Keep going!

Dear Prakash You do not know me. Let me tell you that you are just doing fantastic...by providing people like us an opportunity to have some fun. I have not been quizzing for some time now and I actually use your quizzes now to educate myself and thats what makes it interesting. Yes I do cheat!!!!! I do search for answers, but more often I answer what i think is correct ( and that may not be so). But in the whole process answering your questions or searching for answers I get to learn so much....that is unbelievable! I think you should come out with a book which can only benefit all Pl keep the great stuff going.

As a born again [:-)] quizzer, I find BQG is the best moderated quiz group around!!! The questions are challenging and up to date and the current affairs are current indeed!!! [ Six sigma quizzing indeed!!!] I feel the distribution of the questions in each set is about right with equal emphasis on various topics. I was an avid quizzer in school and college, but I gradually drifted off. Now after subscribing to The Bangalore Quiz Group, I have suddenly found myself starting to read up and spending time to refer to various sources to sharpen my skills again. [I kid you not!!] I really appreciate the wonderful work you and your team are doing for the quizzing community. Thanks a lot and keep up the fantastic work!!!

I have been a regular user of BQG for the past few months and I find it really good. a good store of trivia and facts and the fact that u give the answers only if we reply makes us improve our guessing

It was great to meet you at IIT-D. The questions in the quiz were good (straightforward, crisp and to the point), however I would like to mention that had there been more connects and questions which force one to think laterally, the quiz would have been appreciated more.

I would fall short of words describing BQG. It is the best quiz group I could have ever found, though I have joined in a bit late . I have found the B-E PREPARED QUIZ SERIES to be the most interesting primarily for my inclination to biz quizzes.

Moreover a very disturbing thing is happening which i want to share with you. There are quizmasters who directly base all their questions from BQG which I think is a quiz lover's paradise. What is happening is that unscrupulous people merely mug up these databases and rattle off as answers in quizzes. Is there anyway to stop this alarming trend?
