The Whiz Kid Project - an exciting quiz / elearning project for children
The Whiz Kid Children's Quiz Project, an exciting quiz / elearning project for children, has been conceptualized by the Bangalore Quiz Group and its parent company, Spark Consultants, after over a decade's work in the educational field in the UAE and India.
A similar children's educational project was undertaken for Messrs. Zenith Computers, Abu Dhabi between 2002 and 2004. Thereafter, our thinking was further fine tuned after we began handling the quiz club for children of Bethany High, Bangalore from 2007 onwards.
In addition, The Bangalore Quiz Group created a very popular FAMILY QUIZ PACK that ran for about 50 issues on an experimental basis. A lot of learning came from this project. You can download a sample FAMILY PACK here. This project was recently discontinued and integrated into the Whiz Kid Children's Project.
The Whiz Kid Children's Project comprises four areas:
A Family Pack Quiz: 10 questions for the entire family, thereby giving the family quality time and fun together. Test your knowledge and pitch it against other children and families to see where you rank! A fun event for the entire family!
A Current Affairs section so that children are made aware of the happenings in the world around them.
A Historical happenings section so that the children are made aware of what had happened during the week in the past.
And finally, Interesting stuff that we point the child to and which he/she Googles to find out more information about.
About this program
This educational multimedia (Video / Audio / text based) eLearning program is for school children.
The program will be offered via a Quiz Webinar of duration 45 minutes to 1 hour very weekend in which the child / family will log in by invitation.
Membership to this program costs Rs. 2500 (US $ 50) per annum and is open to children all over India and world wide.
How this program is conducted
It is conducted very similar to what goes on at a school quiz club. In the physical quiz club, there is a Quiz Master and the audience, in the classroom, consists of children. In the Quiz Webinar, the children are still in the quiz environment but participate from the comfort of their home. No special software or skills are required to participate in the multimedia program. However, a computer with a soundcard is required.

The Whiz Kid Project will also feature details about talented children on this website / in its Webinars. In addition, the project invites responses from children in the form or poems, stories, articles, photographs, etc. These will be featured on this website and may, at the discretion of the Bangalore Quiz Group, be mentioned in its webinars so as to create more awareness for the talented child.
