Reviews - The Seventh Sense

Says a 1st B.Com student studying in Coorg

The seventh sense is a unique way of quizzing, native to the Bangalore quiz group.

It is a simply wonderful concept, where a number of people from all over the world come together to form a team and take part in this unique way of quizzing.

It enriches u'r GK and gives u a vast knowledge just on any topic. And it is also very enjoyable.

It’s simply the BEST.

Says a senior manager, an MBA from Indian Institute of Managament - Ahmedabad:

I am currently working as a senior manager at ING Vysya LIfe Insurance Bangalore. I am an electrical engineer (DCE) and MBA (IIM A) by qualification.

(Network quizzing) has been an exhilarating experience ... we have members who are located overseas. and hence are often networking with each other 24/7..on Yahoo msngr/ SMS through web etc. Personally for me the thrill of knowing the rankings at the end of every question (especially till the theme is cracked) has kept me on tenterhooks waiting for day's results very keenly. In my last weekend vacation to Kerala...I literally begged my wife to spare me 10 minutes to go and check the mails everyday - only to be abreast of the seventh sense developments....and to contribute to the theme....

Says a student of NITIE, Mumbai, India

BQG's 'Network quizzing' experiment attempts to infuse virtual quizzes with a spirit of camaraderie - something Prakash and gang choose to call the 'Seventh Sense'. I must say you've been quite successful. Though my inbox gets flooded every week with all the quiz subscriptions that I've made over the years, the 'Seventh-Sense' seduces me in to hitting the reply button every time. Seeing one's scores listed against the rest has its own high!

Thanks for giving the opportunity to share my thoughts on the Seventh Sense Quiz series.

Says Anirudh from the US:

When you have team members scattered in New Jersey, Bangalore and Pune and still manage to communicate effortlessly and come out on tops, it is a different feeling altogether.

Well, USA may be a country of the First World in many respects. But when it comes to quizzing it still is a Third World country.

And so to a quizophrenic stranded a la Robinson Crusoe, the Seventh Sense provided the apt opportunity and platform to get back in action.

Regarding the quiz and the format, the questions are surely thought provoking and makes one think. Though I may be continents away, the high one experiences on getting an answer or a connect right is very much the same as any other quiz.

For me, its welcome to the world of e-pats and e-high fives.

The quizzing bug hit me in early school. Managed to win quite a few quizzes in school and college. Yet to get a big break in the corporate circuit. Still trying...

Used to host a Quiz program on the only 24X7 South Asian Radio station on the AM dial in USA - EBC Radio 1680 AM.

Says a Defence Research Development Organization Engineer

It is really a wonderful experience to take part in an online quiz competition. The last time I had taken part in a quiz competition was The Landmark Quiz.

But this "Online Quizzing" or "Network Quizzing" as you had coined the term, is really a nice experience for "part time" quizzers like me who can attempt to answer a few questions without disturbing our work schedule.
